ABOUT THE PROGRAMMES

3-Year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA(H))

With liberalization, privatization and globalization of Indian economy, there is an emerging need of professionals trained with basic management skills for tackling business situations both in the Indian as well as Global markets. Some of the growing sectors requiring such professionals in the middle level are financial services (banking and non-banking), insurance, travel & tourism, retail management, real estate management, BPO Sector etc., to name a few. To cater to these requirements, Bachelor of Business Administration BBA(H) course has been introduced in The Heritage Academy. Pass-outs of this course may also go in for either acquiring higher qualifications like MBA or becoming an entrepreneur to start their own business.

3-year Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA(H))

With the advent of the internet and the birth of information technology, the demand for ‘computer savvy’ personnel has grown to formidable heights and will continue to grow in the foreseeable future. Though the present market is facing tough times due to the recession in the IT sector, the knowledge of basic computer skills will help the companies to sail through these trying times. Nowadays, the corporate world seeks, hires and retains only those employees with excellent computer knowledge and skills, to enable them to stay in the competition. BCA(H) or Bachelor of Computer Applications refers to a new age undergraduate program where students are exposed to various areas of computer applications at the same time keeping abreast with the latest developments taking place in the industry.

In view of the above, one of the careers, which has gained importance in recent years, is the Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA(H)) course. Pass-outs of this course may be gainfully employed as junior programmers or technical assistants in the BPO sector and in fields like software development, database development etc. Besides, they may also pursue higher studies in Computer Applications (MCA) or Management (MBA).
